The HSA has warned the public not to buy or consume two products promoted in Malaysia as traditional Chinese medicine. This comes after two elderly women fell ill after taking them. One of the woman, who is in her 70s, was even warded in the ICU after experiencing severe breathing difficulty.
“If a rich man contributes S$100 to his Central Provident Fund (CPF) account, he could get up to S$22 in income tax relief. In comparison, a person drawing S$3,000 a month would only get S$2 in relief."
Pointing out these extremes in potential savings by different income segments, Singapore University of Social Science economist Walter Theseira said in a forum on Oct 20 that the Republic’s CPF contribution tax relief policy should be reformed to troubleshoot the “regressive nature of CPF contributions”, where those who earn less contribute a greater fraction of their income to society than high earners.

When NEA officer are doing their duty, yes if someone is smoking under shelter and under the law is wrong, then it is fine to go and summon those guilty of doing it. But if it's raining at the least an NEA officer can do is to ask the culprit to throw away the cigarette. You cannot expect someone to light up under rain, right?
The ICA have warned the public on yet another scam where concerning them. This time around, scam callers have been impersonating ICA officers, and are trying to obtain people's passport numbers. The ICA also warned that members of the public have been receiving calls from +6562148427.
ICA advised members of the public to ignore such calls. Those who receive such calls should not provide any personal information or carry out any financial transactions as instructed by the callers.
He just threw the obike in view of some passerby and waited for the lift. Then we heard a guy talking to the boy to tell him that he should park his bike properly and not obstruct the lift lobby area, but the boy simply ignored him and went up when the lift came. Then a minute later, we saw him again at the 1st floor lobby and he just walked away.
