The S'porean man Zulfikar Shariff who was arrested for terrorism-related charges was photographed pledging allegiance to a black colour flag. I am not expert on this flag but just google and you know this flag is now the trademark icon used by the ISIS terrorists.
Actually this flag is the Islamic kalimah syahada and not the ISIS flag. Terrorists misused this flag as their symbol and now is it known by lay people as the terrorist ISIS flag.
So what is this man's intention of taking photo with a flag that may cause alarm to the people around him? Some more he post in Facebook say he support ISIS? Normal people will assume he take picture with the flag because of his supporting ISIS logically speaking no?
But my worrying part about all this is the people in the photo with him, they are his family members and I assume all are his sons. They all posed with the black flag and presumbly support the same ideas as their father?
Are Zulfikar Shariff's family members being investigated too for terrorism-related offences? Why is only the father arrested? I hope they are investigated for the safety of Singaporeans. It is very scary for us normal folks to see other Singaporeans pledging loyalty to a terrorist organisation.
The govt must not take chances on these safety problems and do what they can to protect us the citizens of Singapore.
