After being arrested for public nuisance, the infamous Yishun Sunglasses Auntie is back with a vengeance!
This time, the 63 year-old woman has returned to using a hammer to knock loudly on her kitchen walls, creating disruptive sounds much like those produced by an industrial jackhammer.
Reporters who approached the flat this morning received no response from the woman when they rang her door. The loud ringing sounds of the hammer smashing against the walls could be heard. but the woman simply refused to respond to requests to meet.
Her bad behavior is a continuation of her usual antics, which started 2 years ago. Over the course of those 2 years, she has hammered at her floor, thrown salt, oil, cooking sauce, urine and other liquids outside her neighbor's flats.
Neighbours on the 4th, 5th and 6th floor of Block 112 have lodged numerous complaints about her behavior over years. When they received no help from the authorities, they simply erected a wall to contain the woman.
This has led several netizens to question why she was arrested only after the media had put the spotlight on the woman's menacing behavior.
When asked for their statement, the Singapore Police Force stated that the case is still undergoing investigation.
If charged with public nuisance, Sunglass Auntie faces a fine of up to $1000.
