Singapore's netball girls team have done Singapore proud by beating the Philippines team 84-12 to advance into the SEA Games semi finals.

The Philippines team was simply outclassed and outmatched by the reigning Asian champions, whose star shooters Charmaine Soh and Yasmin Ho put 22 and 25 goals into the net respectively. Chen Huifen and Pamela Liew also put in 17 and 20 goals. The winning goal streak amount to an average of 21 goals in each of the 4 quarters!

The Singapore team is reeling on their latest success, a much needed boost after they drew 35-35 against key rivals Malaysia on Tuesday.

Coach Aitken said Wednesday's game was important to help the girls regain their confidence. "Obviously no shooter likes to finish in an unsuccessful manner... But as we've seen its not what happens to you, it's about how you respond to it. Charmaine had great flow today, it was good to see her smile and just get back out there."
