NEED THE KIND SUPPORT OF ALL SINGAPOREANS TO FIGHT CANCER BY BANNING SALES OF TOBACCO
The Ministry of Health's TCASA amendments, which were passed in Parliament in March this year-2016, aim to discourage tobacco consumption and better protect Singaporeans from the adverse health effects of tobacco.
The effect of SMOKING is very bad. Many Singaporeans have died. The cost is very high.
The medical experts in Singapore has come out with policies on HEALTHY LIVING. We, Singaporeans must make the choice.
Knowing that SMOKING CAUSES CANCER AND IT KILLS EVEN UNBORN INNOCENT BABIES. We Singaporeans from the top down must come out and say as it is.
Singapore banned CHEWING GUM ( it caused many problems when not disposed properly).
SMOKING IS WORSE. Why are we not taking immediate action.
We Singaporeans, Ministers, MPs, Activists, Social Media, ( don't see much advertisement on TV- SMOKING KILLS) Doctors, Professors, Teachers, Civil servant, Religious Leaders,Public Sector, students, lay person should come together, and make this COMPLETE BAN ON SALES OF TOBACCO HAPPEN IN SINGAPORE.
The cost of treatment is very high. What do we want as a SMART NATION? KNOWING SMOKING CAUSES CANCER AND KILLS LOVED ONES DO WE STILL ALLOW THIS TO CONTINUE?
The reason for writing this is that I have known very close relatives and friends die because of caner. Enough is enough.
And attached is a picture that says. it all. This image of a 4 year old British girl, Jessica Whelan, a toddler suffering from end stage cancer, broke the Internet’s heart when her father posted it on Facebook in 2016. Having made the decision to stop active treatment to save her any more of this terrible pain, Andrew Whelan wrote that he wanted the world to see the true face of childhood cancer, one very different to the balloons and hopeful smiles often portrayed.
His hope? To encourage more people to support cancer research, especially for children.
