SBS Bus Service 185 was driving along the junction of Commonwealth Avenue West and Clementi Road, near Darussalam Mosque, at about 9.30am when it struck a temporary road divider.

The impact shattered a glass panel in the bus near its exit door, where two women were seated. One suffered bruises and the other had cuts on her face. Both were conveyed to hospital.

The other passengers were shocked by the sudden jolt and stop, but were uninjured.

The bus driver said that a car in front of the bus had suddenly swerved into their path.
