RAGING ANG MOH ATTACKED GRABCAR DRIVER & BROKE HIS WIPER AFTER HIS RIDE WAS REJECTED FOR SAFETY REASONS

Dear Editors,

I drove my Grabcar to 296 Beach Road Concourse Skyline on 27 December 2016 and realised the passenger had a baby within her. Since I did not have any infant seat, I informed them with apologies that she had to cancel the booking as I was not allowed to ferry the baby. It was against Singapore Traffic Regulations.

The woman passenger became agitated and argued that other drivers were willing to fetch her child without a child seat and harsh words were exchanged. The passenger started to blame me for not fetching them to their destination.

It was at this point that the woman's husband came forward and attacked my vehicle and stop my car from driving away. He scratched my car and broke my windscreen wiper. He shouted at me that he would fucking kill me.

I called the police after he abused and attacked my vehicle but he left in another taxi after realising the police have been informed. Is such behaviour acceptable in Singapore?
