PLMGS STUDENTS WERE SENT TO "WORK" DURING F1 EVENT TO EARN CCA POINT, PARENT UPSET WITH SCHOOL DECISION

Dear All Singapore Stuff,

My 15yrs old daughter was sent to work in a POSH restuarant at the Marina Bay area by her SCHOOL for the F1 event in September 2016. I understood from her teachers that it is COMPULSORY for the students as it was APPROVED by the MINISTRY OF EDUCATION.

For the 3 nights events, my daughter & her fellow students earned a mere 1 CCA point!! Is this considered child slavery when organisers & the companies involved in F1 racing are earning millions $$$???

The students were made to arrive at school by 0730hrs and finished WORK only at 2100hrs. On the mega F1 night, she finished at 11pm!! The so called consent form was returned back to the school so I don't have it to show you.

This happened at Paya Lebar Methodist Girls School & the attachment was at the Pan Pacific hotel. This is an ongoing practices for 3rd year running? I wish to remain anonymous because it may negatively affect my daughter if they knew who blew the whistle on such unethical practices by the school and MOE.
