PLAINCLOTHES NEA OFFICERS SAMAN SMOKER FOR SMOKING UNDER SHELTER

A plainclothes National Environment Agency (NEA) officers was snapped by a netizen for issuing a $200 fine to a smoker who was caught smoking under shelter.

The netizen, Chang How, wants to warn Singaporeans against these plainclothes NEA officers and advises smokers not to smoke under sheltered areas.

Netizens have commented that such incidents are becoming increasingly common as NEA appears to be conducting random spot checks on smokers using mobile NEA officers, some of whom cannot be identified apart from their use of mobile electronic devices that they use to issue the tickets.
