I was approached by these foreign freelancers doing sales for wedding boutiques from China/Taiwan. They also take the opportunity to slash unsuspecting consumers of a honeymoon package in China or Taiwan.
Is this even legal considering they're here on social visit pass & don't even pay tax to S'pore? At a time when the economy is bad & local, taxpaying businesses are finding it hard to survive, shouldn't the pap govt cut down on the number of foreigners entering our shores on the pretext of an innocent visit?
Can't ICA smell a rat when they bring so many exhibition stuffs in? Doesn't Capital Land check on the origins of the trade when freely renting out spaces to these foreigners?
Lastly, S'poreans should start considering campaign for a distinction between local & foreign owned businesses where local tenders & tax rebates will be preferred over foreign owned ones? After, don't we deserve to be favored by a govt we elected for our interest?
