Dear A.S.S. Editor
Let's just start by saying I was disappointed at the behavior of a few ICA officers at the airport. They are meant to promote security and integrity instead a few ICA officers have displayed utter childishness. This happened at Terminal 1 Arrival hall.
A passenger at the next lane I was queuing up at, was directed by the security officer to go forth for her turn. As there was an immigration officer present, and the lane was empty so she went forth. When she reached the counter, the officer stood up and walked out from a her counter, and told her the lane was closed. Then, she moved over to another counter , walked all the way , and this other officer also got up, came out and rudely gestured that the lane was closing.
When passenger approached another officer, in anger, the officer quickly blamed the security officer even though it was their fault for their ignorance of informing that their lane was closing , whereas I noticed a few other officers who informed before hand.
This isn't the first time I've noticed ignorance and a childish behavior from our country's immigration officers, who did not even take responsibility, to apologize for their mistake, yet blame a lower ranking staff for it. This is truly very disappointing for a true blue Singaporean like me, to see my country's immigration officers , behaving in such a manner. Furthermore, they are adults.
