FT ACCUSE SPF OF RACIAL BIAS OVER "SILVER MAN" ARREST

On 12 Mar 2017, the SPF clarified that 'Silver Man's' (busker) run-in with the police on 11 Mar 2017 on Orchards Road was a 'misunderstanding'. See http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/arrested-silver-man-busker-release...

However, JD Rusdy, a Pinoy from Cebu City (Lives in Singapore), decided to stoke the flames in response to Eric Fong's FB post, and insinuated that "it is about two up-and-coming police of the opposite color abusing their power by cherry picking victims."

"[JD Rusdy] I've seen that street performer guy performed along Takashimaya since 2011. I remembered back then seeing him cleaning off paint off his face in the toilet of lucky plaza and always had pleasant conversation with him. That guy works hard standing hours and hours along the streets to earn money. How could a guy who had perform for years after years trying to earn a living be a nuisance? This is more than that. It is about two up-and-coming police of the opposite color abusing their power by cherry picking victims."

"[JD Rusdy] Although i am a filipino who has been living in Singapore and the States for few years, i've witnessed the biased treatment to minorities here are in many ways just like how the blacks were mistreated by the whites in the States."

JD Rusdy likens the discrimination of minorities in Singapore to 'blacks' being 'mistreated by the whites in the states'?!? Our pledge clearly states "regardless of race, language or religion". The audacity for a foreigner to claim that our cops were 'cherry picking victims' (racial profiling). JD Rusdy's FB page: https://www.facebook.com/rusdy.muhammad.5815
