CHINA FT DIED FROM 90% BURNS IN TUAS FIRE

One of the foreign workers who was badly burnt in the Tuas fire last Saturday, has sadly passed away on Thursday morning. The Migrant Workers' Centre (MWC) confirmed that the worker who died, was 39, and came from Jiangsu. He suffered 90% burns to his body.

MWC also confirmed that the man's family had managed to see him for the last time, having arrived in Singapore on Wednesday night. The family members were with him when he passed away. The other worker, a 27 year old man from Shandong, suffered 66% burns to his body. He is still in a critical condition in the hospital.

The Saturday fire, which involved scrap metal and plastic materials, broke out at a warehouse at 28, Tuas Avenue 10. The two men were the only casualties.
