BEWARE OF SCAMMERS POSING AS ICA OFFICERS ASKING FOR MONEY TRANSFERS

The Immigration and Checkpoint Authority told Singaporeans to beware of a scam number "+65 6391 6100" impersonating ICA officers and requesting for members of the public to transfer money. The Singapore Police have been alerted.

This is similar to the "+65 999" police station scam number and ICA stressed that its staff do not call members of the public to request for money transfers. This tactic is typical of scammers using ID spoofing technology to mask their real phone numbers and impersonates an official phone number used in Singapore.
