67 YEAR OLD WOMAN DIED AFTER TAXI KNOCKED HER DOWN

A 67 year old woman was killed on Wednesday morning after being knocked down by a taxi near the Ayer Rajah Food Centre. The accident happened around 6:26 am along West Coast Drive towards West Coast Road.

Police were alerted, and when they arrived at the scene, they found the woman lying motionless on the road. SCDF confirmed that their paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene of the accident. Police have arrested a 59-year-old male taxi driver for causing death by a negligent act.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
