MOH announced that they will be lifting the travel ban on India from October 26, allowing them to enter and transit through the country. They will only need to have a 10-day SHN. Other countries included in the new arrangements include Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
“We have reviewed the Covid-19 situation…all travellers with a 14-day travel history to Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka prior to departure to Singapore will be allowed to enter and transit through Singapore from October 26, 2359 hours. These travellers will be subject to Category IV border measures,”
– Ministry of Health, Singapore
Another ridiculous move by MOH. They say that they reviewed the COVID situation, so they are allowing people from more countries to come in. They are also continuing the Vaccinated Travel Lanes arrangement. Yet, in Singapore we are still restricted to hanging out in groups of 2.
How does this even make any sense? This kind of flip flop half hearted measures, no wonder our cases are not going down!
MTF and MOH has failed us! They should decide whether they want to fully open up or fully lock down instead of coming up with this kind of “middle of the road” bullshit!
