Here Are The Critics Who Got Sued Until Their Pants Drop. Can Dis B Allow?

To nobody’s surprise, LHL won the defamation suit against The Online Citizen’s Terry Xu and its writer, Rubaashini Shunmuganathan. He is awarded $210,000 in damages, all of which he said will go to charity.

TOC was sued for an article about the Oxley Road saga and the dispute among LHL, Lee Hsien Yang and Lee Wei Ling. The article was said to have tarnished LHL’s reputation as a leader and attacked his character.

This is not the first time our he sued a citizen:

  1. Just half a year ago, blogger Leong Sze Hian was ordered to pay $133,000 for defaming LHL. He was sued for sharing a Facebook post which linked LHL to the 1MDB scandal.
  2. In 2015, another blogger Roy Ngerng was sued for defamation by claiming that LHL misappropriated Singaporeans’ CPF money. Ngerng had to pay $155,000.

Low Thia Khiang once said that it is double standards if LHL doesn’t sue his own siblings but sue other Singaporeans.

“Own siblings cannot sue… but political opponents and critics, sue until your pants drop!”

What do you think? Who will be next on the chopping board?

TOC’s Terry Xu is currently crowdfunding for $210,000 worth of damages. Please support him here.
