Getting issued a Quarantine Order (QO) means you might have been in close contact with a COVID positive case. When Noor Halimaton’s daughter received her QO, she was informed by MOH that an officer will get in touch within 48 hours. However, 7 days later, neither MOH nor their vendor Certis Cisco has contacted them.
In a Facebook post, Halimaton said that the uncertainty has been taking a toll on the family’s mental health. The family has also tried to contact MOH/Certis Cisco but their lines were engaged. When MOH called back, they said that it is Certis Cisco’s responsibility.
This is disappointing! We are in the middle of a pandemic and MOH is out here pointing fingers at other people saying that it’s not their responsibility?! They should have helped the girl find out!
Some more, why is the system so messy? It’s already been 7 days, shouldn’t the girl have been transported to a facility to serve her QO because she is not living alone? If she was COVID positive, won’t that be putting her entire family at risk? Is this why we have so many unlinked cases recently?
The MOH needs to wake up! They became complacent when our numbers went down. Now that there are community cases, the clusters are spreading like wildfire. They need to get their act together!
