If the minister truly regrets his mistake, he should come clean, apologise and bow to Singaporeans before resigning.
Only by doing so can Vivian Balakrishnan prove to citizens that he is taking “full responsibility” for the TraceTogether mess and leading by example.
Saying that he “regrets” the “anxiety caused by his mistake” (without directly admitting fault) while still continuing to be paid millions just goes to show how empty his words (is it even an apology?) are.
Singaporeans want to know what Vivian means when he said he will take “full responsibility” for his error.
Will this be a repeat of the YOG budget incident where he got away with the mistake without anything happening to him?
