Dear All Singapore Stuff
It has been few months since the culture of WFH – work from home started. I hope if Ministry of Manpower (MOM) is not too busy with foreign workers, they can spare some time to look into some of the
situations we are currently facing.
Many of us used to work 9 hours from 8am to 5pm, 9am to 6pm or 10am to 7pm including 1 hour lunch. Since the start of WFH, I have been working more than 12 hours. Sometimes even 14 hours a day. Morning, afternoon and many nights endless zoom calls, online meetings after online meetings.
It is getting more and more convenient for employers to call for meetings ANYTIME of the day. When I thought it is just mine, I then realised my whole family also facing the same issue. All zoom meetings until late night.
It is becoming a norm I have to attend zoom meetings for 6 to 7 hours a day, leaving me with 3 to 4 hours to complete assigned tasks despite already working more than 10 hours a day.
