Friends Joke About Plans To Get COVID-19 To Avoid Booking Into SAF Camp

An anonymous netizen sent some Instagram stories which contained insensitive remarks made about COVID-19.

Based on screenshots of the Instagram story, two SAF NSF friends were discussing about getting COVID-19. Their plan was to get themselves quarantined, and allegedly avoid going back to camp throughout their isolation period.

As reported in the news recently, some SAF camps have been converted to dormitories or isolation facilities to house foreign workers. It seems one of the two friends may be posted to such a camp. In another Instagram story, he made insensitive remarks about contracting the virus from these foreign workers.

Now is not the time to be joking about COVID-19. Singaporeans should start taking things more seriously as we see the daily numbers of cases rise.
