Couple Becomes First SGreans Arrested For Growing Cannabis Plant In Yishun

In what must surely be the most surprising case in Singapore this year, the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) have arrested a man and a woman for growing cannabis plants in a residential unit located at Yishun Street 31. The CNB raided the couple’s residential unit after the ICA found glass apparatus, which was suspected to be used in consuming drugs, at the parcel post section at SingPost Centre.

A Police statement said that during the raid, CNB found glass apparatus, two pots of cannabis plants as well as printed and written instructions for cultivating cannabis plants. A 44-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman suspected of drug offences were arrested during the raid.

The couple actually went online to learn how to cultivate a cannabis plant, and ordered the glass apparatus to bonk drugs online too. Truly a new age drug transaction.
