GOVT PUNISH VICE MASSAGE SHOPS BY MAKING THEM OPERATE WITHIN 6 – 11PM

In Parliament today, the PAP 2nd Minister for Home Affairs Josephine Teo announced changes to the Massage Establishments Bill.

One of these changes was to introduce a ban on 24-hour massage parlours which will henceforth be allowed to operate only from 6 am to 11 pm.

According to Josephine Teo: “Many of these were not in fact massage establishments, but fronts for vice activities. The proverbial, wolf in sheep’s clothing, or what in Chinese we refer to, gua yang tou, mai gou rou (“displaying goat’s head to pass off dog’s meat as mutton”).”

Now now, we wonder if Josephine has intel that men who patronise such establishments for sex sneak out their house in the wee hours after 11 pm.

If not, how does restricting them from operating 24 hours cut down on illicit sexual activities?

Wouldn’t it merely mean sex in small spaces within shorter hours?
