The MOM is investigating an incident where an Indonesian maid fell seven storeys down while apparently cleaning the windows of her employer’s house.
The maid, who is in her 20s, was reported to have been cleaning the windows of the unit at Carissa Park condominium at Tampines on Tuesday. MOM has banned maids from cleaning the outside of windows since 2012, unless they are physically supervised by their employer or by an adult representative of their employer.
Window grilles, which must be installed, are also supposed to be locked at all times during the cleaning process. The Indonesian embassy have also registered their worry that such incidents keep happening in Singapore. The maid is reportedly recovering form her unspecified injuries.
