POLICE ARRESTED MAN SUSPECTED OF DRINK DRIVING AND CRASHING AT BRADDELL ROAD

A man was arrested for suspected drink driving after crashing his car into a tree along Braddell Road on Sep 27 at around 11.25pm. In a video of what happened that was widely circulated online, the car can first be seen travelling on the first lane of the three-lane road.

The driver then mounted the kerb and crashed into a tree at a relatively high speed. The car’s bonnet was severely damaged and debris was strewn across the road. The accident actually also involved another car as well as a taxi.

A police spokesman responded to queries over the accident:

“On Sep 27, 2017, at 11.25pm, police were alerted to an accident involving two cars and one taxi along Braddell Road towards Lornie Road. A male taxi driver was conscious when conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. A male car driver was arrested for suspected drink driving. Police investigations are ongoing.”
