The real facts about people…..
This is the story of social hypocrisy.
Monica asked old Uncle in Redhill, _”How much are the eggs?_
Uncle replied, _”$2.40 for a tray of 10, Madam.”_
Monica, _”I will pay $2.20. Take it or leave it.”_
Uncle, _”Come take it at the price you want. Maybe this is good beginning because I have not sold anything yet. God bless you.”_
Monica took it and walked away with a victorious feeling.
She got into her BMW and invited her friend to Crystal Jade. They ordered what they like. They ate a little and left a lot uneaten because they had wealth and prestige. By social expectation, you’ve to eat little from what you ordered.
Then Monica asked for the bill. It was $64. She gave the waiter $70 and said, _”Keep the change.”_
This story may be normal to the restaurant staff. But it is very painful for Uncle, the eggs’ seller.
Why do we always show that we have the power when we buy from the poor? And we are generous with those who do not need our generosity?
