ST ANDREW’S JUNIOR SCHOOL CANTEEN WAS ON FIRE TODAY

Dear A.S.S. Editor

Another fire broke out today, this time affecting the Saint Andrew’s Junior School in Potong Pasir on Friday. Witnesses said the canteen was filled with smoke, with the fire reportedly occurring at 12.50pm, but which has since been put out, with no reported injuries.

A student at the nearby affiliated Saint Andrew’s Junior College said that the principal of the JC made an announcement to the school around 1pm telling students not to use the bridge near the canteen. By lunch time, the fire was no longer seen, but smoke can still be seen filling the canteen.

Police, SCDF and the school themselves have yet to make any comments on the fire.
