POLICE ARRESTED MAN WHO THREW FLAMING OBJECT AT KEBUN BAHRU FOOD CENTRE

Police have arrested a 49 year old man suspected to have thrown a flaming cylindrical object into an Ang Mo Kio hawker centre on Tuesday. Police confirmed that the object was pipe-shaped and was found emitting sparks, smoke and fire. It was outside a stall at Kebun Baru Food Centre located at Block 226H, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1.

The case was classified as negligent conduct with respect to any explosive substance, and investigations are still ongoing. It was understood that the man arrested was a Singaporean, and he was arrested on Wednesday. The man’s motive was not made known by the police yet.

No one was injured in the incident, thankfully.
