SMRT TRAIN TIMING IN A MESS, COMMUTERS FEARED BEING SANDWICHED BETWEEN FRONT & BACK TRAINS

A netizen shared his unpleasant experience while taking the MRT along the East-West Line this morning.

According to the netizen, he was on a train approaching Redhill MRT when the train suddenly ground to a halt forcefully. As the train stopped for a few minutes, some curious commuters took a look outside and saw that there was a train on the same track already berthed at the station!

As the train moved off, so did the netizen’s train.

When the train left Redhill Station, it started to move even more slowly. The same thing happened again at Queenstown Station and Commonwealth Station, with the train stopping for more than 2 minutes!

Some observant passengers noticed that there was another train behind them and became worried about being hit and sandwiched between the front and back trains.

The netizen finally arrived at Buona Vista, late for work and very angry with SMRT.
