A netizen was witness to an extraordinary act of strength and kindness by a group of foreign workers, who were at the scene when a driver got into an accident and drove his car down a flight of stairs at Punggol Waterway Point and got stuck.
This incident took place yesterday evening.
According to the netizen, while most Singaporeans were busy capturing the accident on camera, these foreign workers just stepped up and tried to push the car out of the way. When they could not move the car, they simply called more of their fellow workers to come and help.
The netizen wrote: "New shortcut at Waterway Point… The main thing is not the poor fellow's car turning into the wrong way but our locals 'Including Me', (feeling ashamed) standing down there, whipping out our phones and starting to take pictures while our friends from another foreign country whip out theirs to call for more help to shift the car. That's what I call 'Taking Action'!
"Salute you guys!!! Yes… These are the very people who helped construct our skylines but yet are being unappreciated by some in our society."
