MT ELIZABETH HOSPITAL: WATER LEAK DUE TO BURST SPRINKLER HEAD, NOT ROOF COLLAPSE

Mount Elizabeth Hospital has responded to a viral video showing water leaking from its ceiling. It assured people that its roof did not collapse.

The hospital clarified that the leak was due to a sprinkler head which burst and damaged the ceiling boards, causing water to flow into the main lobby.

The area was cordoned off and rectification works started immediately. The water supply was also quickly turned off.

Nobody was hurt by the incident as Mount Elizabeth stressed that “safety has always been of paramount importance at the hospital”.

The ceiling has reportedly been restored by Monday.

How come the structure so weak one ah?
