PARTS OF LARGE TREE FELL ON PARKED VEHICLES AT MARSILING

Dear A.S.S. Editor

A large tree in a carpark at Marsiling fell and struck eight vehicles early on Saturday morning. Luckily, these parked cars had no one in them, as this happened at around 5:30 am at Block 205 Marsiling Drive.

Photos of the incident showed tht at least two vehilces were very badly damaged. A silver van was pictured with its windscreen shattered and caved in, while another vehicle has its rear windscreen smashed in.

The Marsiling-Yew Tee Town Council said they were alerted to the incident at 5:55 am and immediately sent their horticulture team to ascertain the damage. It was reiterated that no one was injured, as there was no one in any of the vehicles.

The Town Council reported that the tree is more than 30 years old, but the last inspection done this month had shown it was healthy.
