I was at Midview City today and saw this – Grab’s office is full of ComfortDelGro taxi drivers wanting to switch sides!

There are already so many photos of empty ComfortDelGro taxis lying around, I think Grab’s discounts to attract drivers are making it worse for them.

Also, there are newspaper reports which say that Uber is looking to release as many as 4000 cars into the used market in Singapore. I really don’t understand why ComfortDelGro will want to partner with Uber since both companies are in trouble and have so many vacant cars. They are just going to inherit each other’s problems and empty cars!

If you are serious about making money, then time to slash your costs for drivers and improve your pricing for customers. Otherwise, prepare to go bust!
