LOCAL INDIE BAND DOES A COVER OF SUN HO’S CHINA WINE, NETIZENS THINK ITS BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL

Local band Stopgap has taken it upon themselves to remix one of Singapore bread and butter classics, "China Wine" by local church pastor turned American singer turned church pastor again Ho Yeow Sun, better known as Sun Ho.
 
According to the band's website, Stopgap is a Singaporean indie rock outfit, formed in 2011, consisting of lead vocalist Adin Kindermann, guitarists and backup vocalists Yew Jin Lee and Calvin Phua, bassist Grayson Seah, and drummer Eldad Leong.
 
The link appeared on a popular local forum and has gotten rave reviews, especially in comparison to the original.
 
One netizen wrote: "This indie ear candy slays it. I didn't think I would ever like a song sung by a gyrating middle aged pastor but, damn!"
