Dear Editor,
I read there has been “lots” of support for the 2 effeminate men who are being punished in Abu Dhabi for cross dressing and felt as a Muslim woman, that Singapore should not pervert the course of justice there and allow Islamic law its rightful place!
After all, Islamic countries are known to be socially conservative and the leader in setting that tone, guiding the western world towards morality. Besides, we are also a country which supports laws against gross indecency such as 377A and all the more, should refrain from interfering in the internal affairs of other nations. I’m sure Pastors Lawrence Khong, Yang Tuck Yoong and Joseph Prince will have no problem agreeing with me!
We should instead, spend the time and monies helping out poor Malay families that Mendaki and MUIS are struggling to assist with the very limited resources allocated by the government towards minority groups!
