DEAD BODY FOUND BY MALAYSIAN NAVY IS NOT THE MISSING US SAILOR

The remains of a deceased person found by the Royal Malaysian Navy while searching for a missing USS John S. McCain sailor are not a match, Malaysian media reported.

The determination was made after medical examiners inspected the discovered remains.

Multinational efforts involving Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Australia are ongoing at a 900 square nautical miles site at the initial location of the collision.

4 of the injured soldiers from USS John S. McCain were conveyed to hospital and discharged yesterday to return to command.

Investigations are ongoing.
