Salleh Marican has submitted his application documents to stand for Presidency. He arrived at the Elections Department at around 3.30pm with his family, friends and supporters.
The upcoming Presidential Election is reserved for Malay candidates only.
It remains to be seen if he will qualify for the election as his company does not meet the $500 million shareholder equity. The Presidential Elections Committee will have to assess his candidacy and whether he is certified a member of the Malay community, as he is Indian-Muslim.
Do you think he will qualify? If he does, will you give him a (second) chance?
