MAN ARRESTED FOR THEFT AT BEDOK COFFEE SHOP

The Police have arrested a 41 year old man suspected of breaking into and stealing from a coffee shop at Block 204, Bedok North Street 1. He was alleged to have stolen about $1, 000 in cash and a mobile phone worth about $600.

The incident was reported to the police on 12 August at about 8.46 am. The man was subsequently arrested along Circuit Road following ground enquiries and with the aid of police cameras. If convicted of housebreaking and theft by night, he could be imprisoned between two and 14 years, and also be liable to a fine.
