MRT COMMUTER DEMANDS EXPLANATION AFTER TRAIN TRAVELLED BACKWARDS FOR NO REASON

What is wrong??? The train (no. 2350) was travelling towards jurong east from bukit batok, then halfway it stopped without warning and travelled BACKWARDS ON THE ONE WAY TRACK for one km before heading towards jurong east again.

And no explanation was given. We could have met with an accident. This is ridiculous.
