The 3 Britons who were accused of raping an intoxicated woman at Carlton Hotel have been sentenced to jail. 22 year old Khong Tam Thanh was sentenced to 6 years’ jail and 8 strokes of the cane while Vu Thai Son, 24, has to serve 6.5 years’ jail and 8 strokes of the cane. Another party, Le Michael, 24, has to serve 5.5 years’ jail and gets 5 strokes of the cane.
They pleaded guilty to already reduced charges of outrage of modesty. They were previously in Singapore for a stag party and were accused of gang raping a 23 year old woman.
