Dear A.S.S. Editor

A man reportedly in his 30s was found dead in Geylang River near Block 74, Dakota Crescent on Monday morning. The man was found floating face down in the river. Police confirmed they received a call about the incident at about 7:40 am.

The SCDF was also alerted, and they managed to bring the body out of the waters. Residents said that the area where the man was found was usually quiet, and resident sometimes see people fishing along that section of the river. A maid who works in a Housing Board unit overlooking the river said she saw policemen go out on a small boat to take the body out of the water.

The police have classified it as an unnatural death, and investigations are ongoing.
