Dear A.S.S. Editor
As a special birthday present for Singapore, the Team Singapore beat defending champions England in the World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC) on Thursday after eight out of nine judges voted in their favour.
And to make things even sweeter, this was won in Bali. Yes, the Indonesian resort island, where the little red dot, first called that by an Indoensian former president, reigned supreme.
This is the third time Singapore has won the high school-level competition. They previously won in 2015 in Singapore, and in 2011 in Scotland. The five-member team for this year comprised of Hwa Chong Institution and Raffles Institution students. Fifty teams took part this year.
COngratulations to Team Singapore!
