WE NEED BY-ELECTION IN MARSILING-YEW TEE, DON’T LET RULING PARTY PLAY WITH THE CONSTITUTION

Dear Editor & Readers,

It’s National Day eve that by right, all citizens of a Country should be proud but not the citizens of Singapore whom the ruling party has polarised to the point of no return down a slippery slope!

We have witnessed since the freak result of GE2015, the mismanagement of our economy, reserves, foreign affairs and rampant abuses of political power and corruption at the highest echelons!

This is not what we had voted for! And now as a resident of Marsiling-Yew Tee, I have to receive this sh**ty news that my sitting minority MP is quitting to contest an election that will see her salary increase 10 fold and
the best is, no election will have to be called to fill that deliberately vacant seat! This is not a democracy but an autocracy in auto lawless mode.

I hope Chen Show Mao will take the lead in filling Parliamentary motions to challenge such nonsense while the SDP fights the legal front with crowdfunding. We cannot allow further playing around with our Constitution
which could harm racial harmony and unduly strengthen the unchecked powers of police and AGC.
