A 12 year-old girl was found dead at the foot of Block 410 at Sembawang Drive yesterday evening at 5.35PM.
Eye witnesses report that the girl, who is believed to be a Filipino permanent resident in Singapore, was at home with her father when she decided to jump out the window of her family flat. The father was not aware that she had jumped until police came up to his flat.
Neighbors who saw the scene said that the girl who had committed suicide while still wearing her school uniform. She was found by neighbors lying motionless on the grass below her block.
When paramedics arrived, they could not resuscitate her.
Police are investigating the case as a possible suicide.
