WHY DOES MRT AIRCON BREAKDOWN SO FREQUENTLY DESPITE “DAILY CHECKS”?

SMRT says that faulty air conditioning on their trains are “unexpected issues” that may still occur though they “conduct daily checks”.

This is despite the increasingly frequent complaints about almost sauna-like conditions and lack of ventilation on their trains on its Facebook Page.
