A Singaporean Chinese writer posted on FB about a group of rowdy monkeys who raided her house at Bukit Timah. They stole from her kitchen fruits, bread, biscuits, and would leave dirty trails in her backyard. After having a feast, they continue to loiter outside her house to frolick in the sun. Oddly enough, they also stole her cosmetic products.
The monkeys are not afraid of humans and did not even shun when she went closer to take photos.
Residents there have been plagued with this problem for a long time. Although the monkeys disappeared for a few months, they have recently surfaced again and created a mess of people’s houses.
