Tower Transit bus 97 was driving by the sheltered pick up bay opposite Vivocity today when it struck the roof of the structure. The accident resulted in no injuries, save for a few shell shocked passengers and an anxious bus captain.
According to eye witnesses, the bus was driving past the shelter which would normally accommodate shorter buses.
However, for unknown reasons, the upper deck of the double decker bus struck part of the beams at the top of the shelter.
