ARMED ROBBER ARRESTED, STOLE $1,000 FROM SHELL STATION AT BUKIT TIMAH

A 48 year old man was arrested by the police for armed robbery last night. The robbery happened at a Shell station at 219 Upper Bukit Timah Road.

Police confirmed that they were alerted to the case at 12:15pm on Monday, and the man was arrested at about 4:50pm on the same day. It was understood that the man was armed with a knife, and had managed to escape with about $1,000. None of the Shell staff or customers had reported any injuries.

Police are currently investigating, while the Shell station has resumed operations.
