CHIOBU ANGMOH REVEALS WEIRD SINGAPORE CULTURE THAT MAKE HER FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE

A foreign vlogger from the United Kingdom posted a video on the strange things that local Singaporeans do which made her a little uncomfortable when she first arrived in Singapore.

According to the vlogger, Georgia Caney, she first arrived in Singapore and suffered culture shock because of the very different habits and behavior of Singaporeans as compared to her native United Kingdom.

Among the things that disturbed her were Singaporeans' fixation with their mobile phones and their "brutal honesty" in conversations, particularly about her "appearance". She shared that she also had a problem adapting to using a fork and spoon and chopsticks during meals, whereas in her home country she would usually get by with a knife and a fork.

She also felt that Singaporeans place a great amount of attention on schools and education in Singapore, and found it "cute" that Singaporeans call elders who were not related to them "Uncles and Aunties".
