A personal friend of the SBS driver who rammed into 4 motorcyclists at Pasir Panjang has spoken up:
Riders all received outpatient treatment. Glad they are OK. Let’s not presume. Driver is Singaporean and has excellent driving record for nearly 20 years. Let’s wait for outcome of investigation before we assume. Let’s not jump the Gun. I personally know the driver, a very very nice man and always helps others. His whole family is affected by this incident. Driver himself has been crying all day.
That is why I have not said anything about the accident. All I have said is about the individual as a person. Unless I am commenting about the accident and discharging him of all responsibility, then u can ask me to back my claim and substantiate it.
I am only glad the riders are OK and I thank all the well wishes on behalf of the driver. For those asking for stiff penalty, I do not blame you, if it wasn’t someone I knew close enough, I might have reacted in the same way. For those who pm me personally, thank you and yes driver is OK and resting at home. Driver is not a young guy, he’s elderly and is currently not in the best of health and this incident is taking a toll on his health too.
